ACCIONA Service has been chosen by six international airlines (Singapore Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, TUIfly, Bulgaria Air, Montenegro Airline and Tailwind Airlines) to undertake their handling operations at Düsseldorf Airport, where ACCIONA was awarded one of the two licenses that the airport put out to tender in early 2016 for the next seven years.

ACCIONA Service started providing ramp services in March for LOT Polish Airlines, Poland’s biggest airline, Montenegro Airlines, the national carried of the Balkan country, and the charter flight specialist Tailwind Airlines. From June 1^st it will start to operate for TUIfly, the third biggest German airline, Bulgaria Air and Singapore Airlines.

Düsseldorf Airport is the third largest in Germany after Frankfurt and Munich with a throughput of more than 20 million passengers a year. In Germany, ACCIONA also provides airport services at Frankfurt, where it holds one of the two handling licenses. Frankfurt is the third biggest airport in Europe in terms of passenger traffic (61 million in 2015), behind London (Heathrow) and Paris (Charles de Gaulle).
