  • For the third consecutive year, according to RobecoSAM Sustainability Yearbook 2017

ACCIONA has obtained the “RobecoSAM Silver Class 2017” distinction among companies in the Electric Utilities sector in the Sustainability Yearbook 2017.

The Yearbook, which recognises companies with best practices in sustainability in each sector at global level, is published each year by RobecoSAM, a company specialised in Sustainable Investing.

RobecoSAM's annual sustainability assessment of companies is also used as the basis for selecting components of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. In the 2016 assessment, ACCIONA was included under Electric Utilities in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe, which recognises sustainability best practices among European companies, and for the tenth consecutive year it was ranked in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), in recognition of the company's ability to achieve ongoing improvements in sustainability practices and apply them to remain a world leader.

The Sustainability Yearbook 2017 includes the top 15% of companies in each sector in terms of social, environmental and corporate governance practices. A total of 2,473 companies worldwide in 60 sectors were evaluated this year.
