The Waubra Wind Farm consists of 128 wind turbines, generating 192 MW of clean energy. Waubra Wind Farm used to be ACCIONA Energía’s largest wind farm in Australia, operational since 2009. Located in the south-east of the country in the State of Victoria, it produces the energy equivalent to the demand from around 138,000 homes. The wind farm is constructed on cleared, undulating land, which is a mix of dairy, cattle, sheep and crop farming country. The location was selected due to the high exposure to consistent high winds and close proximity to the transmission network.
