One of the largest infrastructure projects in the country. It is part of an energy project with a 1,100 MW hydroelectric plan.

The project includes the construction of an earth dam measuring 1,050 m long and 60 m high, two diversion tunnels measuring 10.80 m in diameter and with a length of between 700 and 800 m, in addition to a concrete foundation for the power generation station and spillways.

The dam at the Site C reservoir guarantees the supply of clean, renewable energy for over 100 years. Compared with any other source of energy, its hydroelectric plant will have the lowest greenhouse gas emissions in terms of gigawatt/hours.

It will provision of enough energy to supply the consumption of 450,000 households. It will provide a large amount of renewable and clean energy to BC and will boost economic development and job creation.
