Featuring six Nordex wind turbines with a capacity of 4.5 MW, the new wind farm will be commissioned in April 2025.

ACCIONA Energía is building the 27 megawatt (MW) Opor wind farm in Croatia, with the capacity to supply renewable electricity equivalent to the consumption of more than 15,650 Croatian households.

Located in the Split-Dalmatia region, it will consist of 6 Nordex wind turbines of 4.5 MW of unit power and 149 meters of rotor, on a steel tower with a hub height of 105 meters. It is scheduled for commissioning in April 2025.

The Opor wind farm, together with the Boraja II wind farm, which the company is building simultaneously, represent ACCIONA Energía's return to investing in the Croatian wind power sector, where it has already been operating the Jelinak wind farm since 2013. The commissioning of the two new wind farms will bring the company's installed capacity in the country to 102 MW.

The Opor and Boraja II projects are linked to a 12-year 'Contract for Difference' (CfD) with the Croatian electricity and gas regulator Hrvatski Operator Trzista Energije (HROTE). This CfD has been allocated by public auction as part of a program launched by the Croatian government and HROTE and approved by the European Commission to accelerate the deployment of renewables and contribute to European decarbonization targets.
