ACCIONA has taken part in the most important wind power event in Europe, organized by EWEA in Barcelona. It did so through a number of activities such as conferences and round tables, organized visits to a wind farm, and an active presence on its corporate stand. It is a not-to-be-missed event in which the company has showcased its business orientation in the short and medium term, particularly highlighting the strong penetration of ACCIONA Windpower’s 3 MW wind turbine in the market.
ACCIONA will build its largest ever wind farm in Australia, the MacIntyre complex in Queensland, Australia, with a total capacity of 1,026MW. The project will boost the Queensland government's decarbonisation strategy, mobilising total investments of AU$1.96 billion (€1 billion).
ACCIONA has put two new renewable energy projects into service in Chile in the last trimester: the San Gabriel wind farm (183 MW) in the region of La Araucanía and the Almeyda photovoltaic plant (62 MWp) in the region of Atacama. This means that the company has increased its operating capacity in the country by 84%, strengthening its position as the main generator of 100% renewable electricity in the Chilean market.
