ACCIONA Energy is taking part for the tenth consecutive year as an exhibitor in the biggest wind power event in North America, AWEA Windpower, which will be held May 22-25 in Anaheim, Los Angeles (California).
Windpower brings together leading sector companies – project developers, turbine manufactures and service providers, among many others – and experts from the institutional and academic worlds.
ACCIONA will be exhibiting at booth 3935. ACCIONA’s exhibit highlights the company’s leadership in sustainability, its position as the biggest global operator exclusively working in renewable energies, and its presence in wind and solar power throughout the region.
ACCIONA Energy has a strong track record in North America, where it has operated in for 15 years and installed 1,927 MW in wind and solar power, either in its own plants or in projects built for third-party customers: 786 MW in the USA, 283 MW in Canada and 858 MW in Mexico.
The company has renewed its investment activity in the US market with the start up of the San Roman wind farm (93 MW) in Texas. It also has a strong development pipeline in the country and is working to acquire additional late-stage projects. In Mexico, ACCIONA has started the construction of a 168 MW wind farm – El Cortijo, in the state of Tamaulipas- and during the second half of the year it will also start the construction of the largest PV project in the country –Puerto Libertad, with 339 MWp nameplate and located in the state of Sonora-.
