ACCIONA Energy will invest 85 million euros in its fourth windpark in Canada

ACCIONA will move forward with construction work on its 45 MW capacity windpark in Lamèque (New Brunswick, Canada). The facility, 100% owned by the company, consists of thirty 1.5 MW turbines using ACCIONA Windpower technology, and will be operational in early 2011.
ACCIONA opens 25 million euros wind turbine blade manufacturing facility at Lumbier (Navarre, Spain)

The President of the Navarre Regional Government, Miguel Sanz, today opened ACCIONA's new wind turbine blade manufacturing facility at Lumbier, representing an investment of 25 million euros. The plant, which enhances the company's presence in the entire wind power value chain, will produce 34-meter and 37.5 meter blades for the AW-1500 wind turbine, which uses ACCIONA Windpower technology.
Ten entities finance ACCIONA's Eurus windpark in Mexico with USD375m

Ten financial entities, mostly linked to global or regional public institutions -some of them specifically oriented to supporting sustainable projects in developing countries- signed financing agreements for ACCIONA's Eurus windpark in Mexico. The credit deals signed by the different entities total 375 million dollars (314 million euros at the current exchange rate), making it the biggest credit deal ever signed in Latin America for a renewable energy facility.
ACCIONA and Dhamma Energy sign an agreement to develop 250 MW of photovoltaic power in France

The global renewables operator ACCIONA Energy and the Franco-Spanish group Dhamma Energy have signed a framework cooperation agreement to implement photovoltaic plants in France. The first milestone in the process will be the construction of a 12 Mwp plant - the biggest in terms of size of all those operational in French territory - in the Département of Ardèche (Rhône Alpes).

Australian Government shortlists ACCIONA for 200 MW solar thermal project

ACCIONA has been shortlisted by the Australian Government to build a 200 MW solar thermal plant as part of the latter's Solar Flagships Program, an initiative aimed at developing solar energy in the country. ACCIONA is the only Spanish company among the 8 finalists in the program's first selection round.
ACCIONA EBITDA jumps 44 per cent to 275 million euros

ACCIONA ended 1Q10 with an EBITDA (gross operating profit) of 275 million euros, a 43.9% improvement on the same period of 2009, owing to two main factors: the Group incorporated 2,540 MW in 2009 (comprising 2,078 MW of Endesa renewables assets and 462 MW installed organically), and increased production from Spanish assets offset an 18.4% dip in average wind power prices at home.
