A large diplomatic representation, consisting of 37 ambassadors and senior civil servants accredited in Spain, visited ACCIONA Energy facilities in Navarre today within the framework of an initiative by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation aimed at showcasing centers of excellence in industry, energy and technology that represent the reality of the Spanish economy.

ACCIONA Energy North America will celebrate the opening of its Lamèque Wind Power Project, located on the Acadian Peninsula of New Brunswick, with a private dedication ceremony for partners, dignitaries and landowners, followed by an open house for the entire community, on September 15, 2011. The 45 MW wind farm, initiated by La Coopérative d'Énergie Renouvelable de Lamèque, began construction late last summer and was officially brought online in the first quarter of 2011.

The entry into service of Palma del Río I means that the company has installed 200 megawatts of thermal solar power in Spain and 23% of the country's current operating capacity.
This plant and its 'twin' Palma del Río II, grid connected in December 2010, represent an investment of around 500 million euros.
The two installations have created 700 jobs during the construction phase and 50 for their operation.
