The presence of ACCIONA Energy in Croatia takes the form of a 30 MW wind farm operational since 2013. Jelinak, equipped with 20 wind turbines of ACCIONA Windpower technology, was the first wind farm installed in the country by a Spanish developer.
Located in the region of Split-Dalmatia, Jelinak was inaugurated on October 6th 2013 by Croatian President, Ivo Josipović. It consists of twenty AW1500 wind turbines of ACCIONA Windpower technology representing a total capacity of 30 MW, able to generate electricity equivalent to the consumption of around 30,000 Croatian homes per year. ACCIONA was the first Spanish wind power developer to open a wind farm in the country.
